People have much better prospects of recovering and surviving if they can mitigate the many stresses playing upon their system. I consider it to be God’s gift to have had the opportunity to offer the miles. Besides, with all the time I spend on the road accumulating miles, the last thing I want to do is use them. I knew I would never find a better use. Muriel would have never asked for such a gift. She was much too gracious. I had to insist she take them. There are many such Muriels in our world today fighting for their lives and absorbing the financial strain of getting to their doctors and clinics. This is what the Rxtra Mile cause is all about.

Because of the kind cooperation of health care providers like the Mayo Clinic and travelers like you, the Rxtra Mile Program can facilitate bringing together those who have a need with those who have a provision. Many of the potential recipients of these travel gifts are far too self-sufficient to ask for assistance or are not aware that such a provision exists.
